Jennifer Spoon has used wisteria, milkweed, thistle, mulberry bark and other plants from the landscape to make pulp for handmade paper. Some of the pulp is dyed and used to paint scenes inspired by the beauty of the local mountains or the distant sea. Works evolve from realistic gestures to abstract expressions.
